Saturday! I finally have time to catch up with my project life. It’s scrapbook Time 🙂
You’ll recognize the beautiful cards from the Studio D.I.Y mini December kit.
Project life
I got a big order from the contemporary jewelry gallery Bettina Flament, I’m working all days in the studio to prepare all the pieces. On the left page, I used a 6 x 8 paper from the Studio DIY Mini December daily kit.
Today I’m gluing my statement heart brooches. I’m so in love with this statement huge plexiglass heart brooch.
Every time I wear one, my mood lift and leave no-one around me indifferent.
On the page, I wanted to spell: ‘brooch production’ but I ran out of space so it ended up beeing procductio. ( but it looks ok so that’s alright with me !)
We celebrate ‘Sinterklaas’ in the Netherland. Most of the children get their presents today even if it tends to switch to Christmas ( or just doing both! )My boyfriend got a chocolate letter at work ( in December you can buy chocolate shapes into letters, so Sinterklaas can give you a chocolate with the first letter of your name, only if you’ve been a good ‘child’ this year. I wrote a post about the December’s festivities in the Netherlands if you’re interested the link is here.
Saturday, December 3, I went to the Re-opening of UMMAH with a friend of mine, we ate cake and then went for a coffee in the Hallen. It was a crafty market happening where I found my first Christmas present, the one for my boyfriend. Only four to go on my list. Not much presents stress this year. 🙂
There is a lot of Lots of things to do, bring some new necklaces at UHMA and I bought the tree early in December so I can choose a beautiful one. I’m bringing it back home on my bike, and use the big glass windows of a building close to my place to make a cool selfie. It will wait outside in the garden until I’m ready to decorate it.
December Daily starts today. For those of you who are unfamiliar with December Daily®, it’s a project created by Allie Edward, Here is her introduction:
December Daily® is a December mini-album project that documents the 25 days leading up to Christmas. The simple goal is to capture the spirit of December via one story per day.
Over the last eight years, this project has become one of the highlights of my year and a beautiful community of memory keepers has come together to share their December stories with one another. It’s an awesome way to document and celebrate the season.
Unlike Allie, I like to document the whole December month, and December is gonna be very busy, for a jewelry designer December is THE busiest month of the year…. production & sending orders for work, creatives project at home, decoration, shopping, baking and I started a Gilmore Girls marathon.
For this albun, I used 3 mini-kits from Allie Edwards shop.:
Here a look at is my Day 1 pages, with a new round logo design for my new boxes. I went to Uhmah to bring some necklaces and found some nice Christmas balls at Hema.
